Job type: Full-time / Permanent
Location: Kirkby
Expected hours: 36-48 hours per week
Pay: £13.05 per hour
Our support workers are some of the best, if not the best, in the UK. And we’re looking for more outstanding people to join our supported living team in The Shire in Melling.
The Shire is our newest and most innovative supported living community, nestled in the peaceful town of Melling. This unique development offers nine individuals the opportunity to live independently in a safe, nurturing environment. As a support worker at The Shire, you’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to empowering residents to lead fulfilling lives. You’ll work in modern, purpose-built homes designed to foster comfort, growth, and community in a beautiful rural setting. Join us in this ground-breaking project where we’re redefining supported living and making a real difference in people’s lives every day.
Ideally, you’ll already have experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health problems and/or autism, but don’t worry if you don’t, as we have a great team of educators and positive behaviour support (PBS) experts who’ll provide full training and support for everything you need.
The CQC describes us as ‘exceptionally caring’ and that’s what we’re looking for – exceptional people, who are passionate about providing exceptional care. You’ll play a pivotal role in an individual’s care team, supporting them to maximise independence, and giving them the opportunity to live their life to the fullest.
The owners and managers at Cavalry all come from a care service background so we recognise what makes a great support worker – passion, empathy and understanding – and you’ll need to show us you have all of these to be successful in joining our team.
The benefits of working at Cavalry:
- Great rates of pay – £13.05 per hour, including holiday pay.
- A comprehensive induction programme and high-quality training to support your professional growth and development.
- Career progression opportunities across all our care services.
- A friendly team that’s always here to support you and listen, when you need us.
We’re looking for exceptional people who have:
- At least six months of experience as a support worker, carer, or healthcare assistant.
- Supported living care experience would be preferred, but it’s NOT ESSENTIAL as full training will be given.
- Excellent communication skills – because great care starts with great communication.
- A caring, patient, and compassionate nature – and you should be able to easily describe why being a carer is important to you.
So, if you believe you are, or could be, one of the best support workers in the UK, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and help to change care for the better, together!
We look forward to hearing from you.
