Cavalry Healthcare is a nurse-owned, nurse-led company on a mission to change care for the better and we’re currently looking for a compassionate and experienced Team Leader to work in our supported living home in the Preston area. 

This is to support our lovely service user who has complex needs – moderate learning disability, cerebral palsy, autism and personality disorder. He does sometimes display behaviours that are challenging, so it is important you have experience in this area. 

The Role 

Our aim is to help the people in our care to live their best possible life. Working within a team of caring support workers, you will be leading shifts and supporting team members in their learning and development, as well as working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home. 

Bespoke, high-quality training will be given so that you have exactly the right skills needed to support each person based on their individual needs. We are keen to recruit skilled and experienced Team Leaders with a strong value base, who demonstrate kindness, compassion and integrity, alongside best practice, and be an excellent role model for the people in their team. 

The main elements of your role include: 

  • Leading shifts to ensure that each person receives the best possible care, in a safe and enriching environment. 
  • General support worker duties, including following care plans and supporting individuals in their daily routines, developing positive relationships with individuals and promoting their safety at all times, supporting contact with families and friends (as appropriate), supporting people with communication and positive behaviour management. 
  • Handling and administering medication. 


What you need to apply:
 

  • Experience in a similar environment 
  • Experience in a senior/supervisory role within care 
  • A reliable, caring, compassionate and professional attitude
  • To be resilient and able to handle challenging situations effectively and positively
  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care – Desirable 
  • Driver – Desirable
